Yay! Anwar won

I'm glad Anwar won the parliamentary by-election in Permatang Pauh. Here's hoping he would bring Malaysia to greater heights. We're in a dire need of a great leader and I hope Anwar fills that void.

CNN reports: "It is a lie to smear him. The government is doing everything they can to shame him," said Mustakim Ramlee, a 66-year-old businessman who voted for Anwar. "Anwar's victory will bring good reforms to our country and will unite all the races in Malaysia." I'll say Amin to that.

Anyone saw The Last King of Scotland? Lets hope it is not too late for Malaysia.

Sketching home

If you have Google Sketchup and a tape meter, you can sketch your home and plan for future renovations. This is a sketchup of our living room. You can see that it has wide doors and is on a split level. It also has a tall ceiling height of over 11 feet. Using the man as an estimate, you will notice that our living room isn't that big. Just the way we like it. We'll have you know that it is quite a challenge to fit furnitures into small spaces, and a family of 7 to boot. But we manage well. Everyone is a call, as opposed to a HOLLER, away. Once I've added the windows and the rooms in, you'll get a clearer picture of how small and cosy this house really is.

Meet the stooges

From left: Curly, Moe and Larry

Curly is 9, sensitive, artistic and pensive. We nicknamed him Umar after Umar Abdul Aziz. Yes, the Calyph. You can tell it was Ailin's idea.

Moe is 6, cheeky, a conformist and likes to please other people. His real name is Noah. I gave him that name coz Ailin is pro-Arabia and I had to be pro-western to even things out.

Lastly Larry, who is 4, is articulate, insightful and oft composed. If you think his looks deserves the name Yusuf, you're spot on. One guess who came up with that name.

JackJack who is going to be 1 in a month time deserves another blog post because I'm getting addicted to this medium.

Umar's exam starts today

Umar's examination begins today. He has been off the Playstation since he dropped a position (from being number 16 to number 17 in class). I hope he does well in his exam this week. SO says that if he moves classes again, she'll buy him a Nintendo Wii. I can't wait to play tennis on that box. It'll help me reduce weight too.

Something on my ticker tape

Ajak has a ticker tape on his blog. Well, its not actually a ticker tape coz it doesn't move. He puts his latest blood result on his ticker tape, right above his profile. Not to be outdone, I also want a ticker tape. Mine will monitor my weight coz my SO (SO means significant other if you have to ask) says I'm fat. Although I disagree (I'm a tall person and being slightly overweight is just fine), I don't want to be outdone by Ajak. I will put my latest weight on my ticker tape and update y'all once a month.

Sun salutation

I forgot to do my sun salutation in the toilet this morning. Usually I do about 4 or 5. My sister who is a Yoga Meister taught me to do it every morning so that I stretch all my muscles. There's more than 10 steps in the whole cycle but so far I've been taught two. One is where I bend down and bring my arms up in front of me, and the second one is where I bring my arms up on my side. The second step is a bit of a challenge not because its difficult but because my toilet is small.

Hey it works

Its so easy. Now I can start posting all the boring stuff I do so y'all can waste time reading it.
